Hypnotherapy uses a variety of techniques as well as hypnosis to reduce stress and anxiety levels and to create change in people’s lives. It can help in many different areas, including and not limited to: anger, anxiety, stress, confidence, sports performance, work performance, motivation, focus, sleep problems, weight control, eating habits, anti-smoking, pain control, childbirth, fears and phobias.
Many problems in our life come from and are made worse by unwanted patterns of behaviour and templates embedded in our subconscious mind. Through hypnosis, we can access the subconscious mind and get rid of those old templates and patterns by distorting them and replacing them with better, more positive ones.In combination with Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and parts of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool to help sort out our lives and start living them the way we want to. We focus on solutions, not problems, in order to create change.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses a variety of techniques as well as hypnosis to reduce stress and anxiety levels and to create change in people’s lives. In combination with Solution Focused Brief Therapy, it is a powerful tool to help us focus on what we want in our lives and to get rid of old embedded behaviours and templates that do not serve us. We all have the resources inside us to lead our lives the way we want, just sometimes a therapist is needed to assist you in finding those resources.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis, or trance as it’s sometimes known as, is a perfectly natural state that is similar to daydreaming. We often go into trance when we are driving our cars, watching a film, or reading a book. We are so engrossed in that activity that we are no longer aware of our surroundings. When you are in the hypnotic state the hypnotherapist can access your subconscious and change old unwanted negative behaviours and templates, and replace them with better and more positive ones.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes they can as long as they want to. You will need to give 100% commitment to change and to the therapy if you really want things to be better for you.
How many sessions do I need?
The required amount of sessions is up to the individual and how quickly he or she progresses. As we work with Solution Focused Brief Therapy, the emphasis is on ‘Brief’ so we will help you get to your goal as quickly as possible. On average, fears and phobias take 3 – 5 sessions, everything else between 6 – 8 sessions and up to 12 sessions if necessary.
